sockEvery night in the United States, an estimated 600,000 people live on the streets.  They have no homes and are in need of the most basic items, including clothing.  This October, “Kid President” and other kids from around the nation, like us, want to prove that small acts of kindness, like donating a new pair of socks, can make a big difference in the lives of our homeless neighbors.  We’re calling our project “SOCKTOBER,” because for the remainder of this month, we are going to collect as many pairs of new socks as possible, which we will donate to the Community Clothes Closet in Menasha. Will you help us?  Let’s show our community that the students of Foster Elementary really do care.  We might be kids...but we CAN make a difference!
