Karen Noel
Dr. Noel has had the privilege of serving as an elementary principal of five former elementary schools in Wisconsin as well as one in a rural district of northern Illinois. Her most recent principalship was at Grafton Elementary School but she has also served as a Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the Fox Point-Bayside School District. In addition, she has taught fifth grade and was an elementary special education teacher.  

Karen received her Master’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and her doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service from Cardinal Stritch University. Her research study was in the area of effective trusting relationships between parents and teachers.  

Karen is a current resident of Cedarburg, where her husband Tony is a fourth grade teacher at Westlawn Elementary. The Noel family is in the process of relocating to Appleton. Their son, Jacob, is a senior attending Washington University in St. Louis. 

Karen is enthusiastic about her new position, saying, “I feel so fortunate to have been selected to join Stephen Foster’s professional learning community and to build relationships with a dedicated group of parents, educators, and administrators whose priority is to ‘serve’ students by providing them with the best education possible.”
