School Leadership

Mrs. Van Fossen is beginning her second year as principal of Foster Elementary Charter School. She began her educational journey teaching math at the Sonia Shankman Residential School in Chicago before moving to the Fox Valley and teaching math at Appleton North High School.

She has also served in the Appleton Area School District as an instructional technology coach and as the Associate Principal of Student Services and Supports at Appleton East High School.

Mrs. Van Fossen is passionate about fostering leadership in every child and is proud to lead Foster as the only school in AASD implementing the Leader in Me curriculum. She is grateful to be part of such a dedicated, close-knit community and proud to be a Foster Falcon.
