Co-Curriculars

At Foster Elementary Charter School, co-curriculars are an extension of our mission. They give students opportunities to lead, learn, and belong beyond the classroom—helping every child discover their strengths and use them to contribute to our community.

Participating in co-curriculars nurtures confidence, curiosity, and connection. Students build meaningful relationships, explore interests, and practice the leadership habits introduced in their daily learning. These experiences help children develop lifelong skills such as collaboration, goal-setting, responsibility, and time management—skills that support both academic success and personal growth.

A unique part of our leadership model is our student-led clubs, where students can apply to become club creators and leaders. Through a guided application process, students propose club ideas, plan meeting structures, and take responsibility for leading their peers. These clubs empower students to turn their passions into opportunities for others—building voice, ownership, and authentic leadership skills.
