    Foster Family Dinner Night
    03/12/2019
Last Thursday night, March 7th, we had our first Foster Family Dinner Night. We had eight families come in and learn how to cook a healthy meal together. They made whole grain pizza with turkey sausage and vegetables, fruit kabobs, and energy bites. A lot of fun was had by all and we found some budding chefs in the process!! We are planning to have more Family Dinner Nights next year and are hoping that we will have even more families join in the fun! Thanks to Festival Foods and the Foster Charter Board for sponsoring this great event!

    Hygiene for Homeless Drive
    02/13/2019
Foster Service Club: Hygiene Drive 2019: Feb. 17 – March 10 The Family’s ‘Help for the Homeless’ hygiene drive works with area homeless coalitions every spring to stock the shelves of 83 homeless and crisis programs in 15 Wisconsin communities in our listening areas. The goal of ‘Help for the Homeless’ is to supply a year’s worth of product to each agency (In many cases, this is happening!). In 2018, generous community members donated $411,000 worth of laundry soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. to their local crisis programs, Donations remain in the communities where they are collected. Hygiene and cleaning items are expensive and are not covered by Wisconsin Food Share (formerly Food Stamps). This donation helps BOTH the crisis programs and those they serve. Urgent Needs: • Soaps: Laundry, Dish, Soft, Shower Gel, 2-in-1 Shampoo • Trash bags (shelters especially need these for bedrooms!) • Diapers (sizes 3-6 and Pull-Ups) • Deodorant (unscented) • Wet Wipes for babies • Toilet Paper • Toothbrushes & Toothpaste • Paper Towels • Disposable Razors Donations will be collected in the Blue Bins located in the Lobby @ Foster Elementary
